We offer a complete curriculum ranging in courses for the pre-school student through the advanced-professional in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Acro/Gymnastics, Stretch and Conditioning, Boys Dance, Vocal, Adults and Creative Movement. The fall season runs from September to June, and we also have a separate summer session. Miss Gina and the teachers assess the children to make sure they are placed at the appropriate level.
Leotard and tights, any color, must be worn for all classes. Dance pants can be worn for jazz, hip-hop or tap classes ONLY. Proper shoes are required for each class. Students must come to class dressed appropriately. NO T-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts or jeans are allowed. Hair must be worn up for all classes. No student will be allowed to take a class if not dressed properly. Dance Stop Dance Educational Center offers a full line of dance clothing in our studio.
If classes are missed, make-up classes are offered and can be made up within a month’s time.
Mommy & Me – For children 18 – 30 months. Introduces early dance movement skills through play and movement. Children bond with parent as they bend, stretch and explore music.
Creative Movement for Tots – For children 2 – 3 year olds. This is a 45 min class
designed to develop coordination, balance, rhythm and self-expression through songs,
simple dance movements and basic tumbling skills.
Tots Tap Too! – For children 4 years. One-hour class which builds on listening ability,
improves gross motor skills and introduces tap dancing.
ACRO -- Introduces stretching and basic acrobatic skills; rolling, cartwheels, backbends,
handstands, headstands, etc.
Programs for 5-7 year-olds
Combination Ballet/Tap – A one-hour class that teaches both ballet and tap.
Advanced Combination – A 90-minute lesson that includes one hour of ballet and ½ hour of tap.
Acro – Introduces stretching and basic acrobatic skills; rolling, cartwheels, backbends,
handstands, headstands, etc. Different levels offered.
Hip Hop – Street dance performed to Hip-Hop music. Hip-Hop is a fun and energetic form of dance
and encourages its dancers to perform with freedom of movement.
Jazz – Using a wide range of music, works on flexibility, isolations, progressions and
Tap –Form of dance that focuses on percussive movements, rhythms and musicality.
Vocal Lessons – Group setting or private instruction.
