Eric Bourne


Eric received his BFA training in Performance Concert Dance from Ryerson University in Toronto, ON. His training includes summers at Perry Mansfield, WCDE summer intensive, David Parsons' Summer Intensive, and Minnesota Dance Theater.  Shortly after moving to New York City, he danced the role of James for the National Tour of Twyla Tharp's Movin' Out. He continued his love for contemporary/modern dance when he joined as company member for David Parsons Dance Co. Making his way up to principal dancer and having the honor to perform Parsons signature work, 'Caught', during his 6 years with the company. Eric also taught Parsons rep and technique in universities and festivals across the country and internationally.

Outside of his concert career, Eric has had a privilege to perform for DRA's Fire Island Dance Festival, City Center ENCORES! Production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Ms. Florida pageant, The Career Transitions for Dancers Gala, and Stories From the Night Before which he was also the associate choreographer. He's appeared on Italian television show AMICI as a guest artist, and has danced for a number of industrials including the JCPenney Hair Show and Star Wars Gaming systems.

Eric has been faculty for Broadway Dance Center and travels across the country teaching contemporary dance and movement with Quest Intensives, bringing his experience and knowledge for movement and performance quality to in-studio Intensives. His passion for technique and movement quality inspires his choreography with a strong physicality incorporating line & athleticism.
