WE ARE OPEN

AN UPDATE ON COVID19

NOVEMBER 2020

Dance Stop family,

In light of all that has happened globally this year, we wanted to take a moment to reiterate that we are more passionate than ever about ensuring the health and safety of our dancers.

We have decreased the participation of each classroom to 50% capacity, we are diligently enforcing our mask-wearing policy, we maintain social distance with a minimum of 6-feet separation between each dancer, we conduct daily health checks, and continue to routinely disinfect each studio space. As an additional precaution, we have added a new policy of requiring periodic COVID-19 testing of all Dance Stop employees.  All of our safety guidelines are posted on the website below and are constantly being updated to meet CDC guidelines. We have implemented a procedure if a student or staff member test positive for Covid-19. Procedure can be found on the website below.

As our world grapples with how to handle this evolving pandemic, our hope is that you feel supported and safe during this challenging time. We want to be as proactive and considerate as possible in matters concerning your health and the health of your family, especially those most vulnerable among us.

We love you, we are here for you, and we are so grateful for you. See you in class!

COVID 19 TRAVEL POLICY

NOVEMBER 2020

If you plan to travel this holiday season we advise you to follow the NJ State guidelines and all updates. Changes are being made frequently and it is your responsibility to stay informed. Any student or staff member who is travelling out of state, will need to follow the appropriate protocols outlined by the state of NJ.

If a dancer has travelled internationally or from a location considered high risk for Covid-19 there will be a 14 days wait period before they may return to the studio for in person class.

Please contact the studio if you have any questions or concerns.

STUDIO REOPENING UPDATE

We are excited to announce that Dance Stop is officially and safely open for Fall Classes.

Fall Classes will be offered in person at the studio and also via Zoom.

We cannot wait to see all of our dancers back in the studio, however safety is our top priority. Whether we see you in person or we see you over Zoom, don't stop dancing!

COVID 19 RELEASE & TUITION WAIVER

In order to attend classes in the studio you must sign a new release waiver. Your dancer/dancers will not be permitted to attend class unless this is done.

COMPLETE THE WAIVER

studio safety

We are committed to keeping our dancers and staff safe. We have implemented many studio and staff safety precautions in preparation for our opening.

  • All staff will have their temperature taken before the start of each class and each staff member will be required to wear a mask depending on activity
  • All dancers will have their temperature taken before the start of each class and all dancers will be required to wear a mask depending on activity.
  • In order to attend classes in the studio you must sign a new release waiver. Your dancer/dancers will not be permitted to attend class unless this is done.
  • Dancers and parents must conduct a self-assessment and not enter the studio if they are exhibiting symptoms or have been exposed to COVID 19
  • If your child is feeling ill at all you must keep them home ie. cough, congestion, fever, stomach ache, headache etc. We will also send anyone home immediately if they state they aren’t feeling well. You must be symptom free for more than 48 hours to attend class.
  • We will still be doing virtual classes on Zoom for each class. A tablet or computer will be set up in the front of the room and we will run class as normal and we will live stream the class there. We wanted to continue this option for parents who are unsure about bringing their dancer to class.
  • All class times will be staggered to allow for students to enter the studio and leave the studio in a safe manner
  • The waiting room is currently closed. All parents and family members will be asked to wait in their cars until class is dismissed. Your child's teacher will walk all children outside and remain with the child until the child is picked up.
  • Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes early for your scheduled class. Dancers are encouraged to wait in their cars until the scheduled class time.
  • While in the studio, please maintain a safe socially-distant 6 feet apart and wear a mask.
  • All classes will be at reduced capacity.
  • All students will be encouraged to remain socially distant before, after and during class.
  • Everyone is required to wear a mask upon entering the studio.
  • Social distancing of six feet will be adhered to unless personal instruction requires less separation.
  • Dancers must bring their own dance shoes, equipment and water bottles.
  • We will no longer have lost and found.
  • We have added extra hand sanitizers throughout the studio and in all bathrooms and classrooms.
  • The studio will be thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day and all high touch areas within the classroom will be cleaned after each class, including but not limited to music stations, bars, floors, mirrors, door knobs and light switches, etc.
  • There will be routine disinfection of high-contact surfaces including but not limited to the front desk, bathrooms, stairwells, etc.
  • Bathrooms will be disinfected every 2 hours. Bathrooms are reserved for dancers and staff only.
  • Studio is equipped with a Honeywell Clean Air Purification system. Studio and classroom windows and doors will remain open whenever possible.
  • Every morning each studio will be sanitized with a Liberty Fogger which is specifically used to kill Covid 19 and is safe for dancers and staff.

We encourage all dancers to carry a personal safety kit that includes a mask or facial covering, personal hand sanitizer and facial wipes.

covid19

We have implemented the following procedure should your child be in close contact while at Dance Stop with a person who tests positive for Covid19.

According to the CDC, close contact is defined as someone who was within 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes or more within 2 days prior to illness onset.

At Dance Stop we follow all laws regarding confidentiality and medical treatment.

The following procedure is recommended by the CDC and has been prepared under the guidance of a team of medical professionals, including a pediatrician who specializes in the management of physical, behavioral and mental care for children from birth until age 18.

POSITIVE TEST

  • If a dancer or staff member tests positive for COVID 19 they will not return to the studio until they are 10 days from the onset of symptoms and fever free without the use of fever reducing medication for 72 hours.
  • A list of close contacts of the ill person is initiated and communication of possible exposure begins to close contacts.
  • Cleaning and disinfection of area will be performed by appropriate staff.
  • Close contacts are notified, advised to stay home, and to consult with their healthcare provider for evaluation and determination if testing is recommended.
  • Person(s) returns to dance after meeting criteria for ending home isolation.

EXPOSURE TO A POSITIVE TEST

  • If a dancer or staff member has been exposed to anyone with Covid-19 they must wait 10 days to return to the studio for in person class or after day 7 after receiving a negative test result (test must occur on day 5 or later).

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our safety procedures or the safety of your children, please contact the studio immediately. We are happy to discuss any concerns with you and work together to find the best solution. Your children's health and safety is our #1 priority and we are committed to keeping your children safe.
